This former farming community is home to the Shirley Eustis House. It’s the nation’s only remaining country house that a British Royal Colonial Governor built. Today, Roxbury is the heart of Black culture in Boston.

The Islamic Society of Boston is the largest mosque in New England and a cultural center for Muslims located in Roxbury, Massachusetts. The ISB offers daily, weekly and annual programs for Muslims including Arabic and English classes on religious and secular topics as well as a religious school for children and holiday programs.
