1. Get creative with your tablecloth. A simple plain white tablecloth can be transformed with some fabric paint and a little bit of creativity. Add some hand-painted Thanksgiving images or even write out the menu in calligraphy for a festive and personalized touch.

2. Make your own centerpieces. Ditch the expensive store-bought floral arrangements and make your own centerpieces with things you already have around the house. Gather up some mason jars, vases, or even empty wine bottles and fill them with fall leaves, acorns, berries, or whatever else you can find outside.

3. Put out some fall-scented candles. Nothing like the smell of pumpkin spice or maple syrup to get you in the Thanksgiving mood. Pick up some candles with these scents, or make your own by simmering water, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and nutmeg on the stove.

4. Decorate with autumnal fruits and vegetables. You can find plenty of falls produce like pumpkins, squash, gourds, and apples at your local farmers market or grocery store. Arrange them in a basket or bowl as a festive and colorful decoration for your dining room table or kitchen counter.

5. Make a Thanksgiving wreath. A wreath is a classic holiday decoration that can be easily made on a budget. All you need is a straw wreath form, some fall-colored ribbon, and whatever else you want to use to decorate it. Get creative with leaves, berries, acorns, or even small pumpkins and gourds.

6. Display some family photos. This is a great way to add a personal touch to your Thanksgiving decorations. Gather up some old family photos and put them in frames or even create a collage. Hang them up around the house or prop them up on shelves or mantles.

7. Use nature as your decor. One of the best things about fall is all of the beautiful colors outside. Take advantage of this by using leaves, branches, berries, and other natural materials to decorate your home for Thanksgiving. You can use them to make wreaths and centerpieces or arrange them around the house for a festive touch.
